We’re building the app we wanted to learn with
OOWN turns what you read, hear and watch into words you actually use — in 10 languages.
Why OOWN
Words should come from content you care about.
A word you met in an article you chose, a podcast you enjoy or a video you watched to the end already has a place in your memory. OOWN lets you save it right there, with its sentence, its sound and its translation.
Remembering is a schedule, not willpower.
Forgetting follows a curve, and reviewing can follow one too. Every word gets its own schedule and comes back just before it would slip away. You open the app; OOWN decides what’s due.
Knowing a word means saying it and using it.
Recognising a word on a page is only the first step. OOWN takes each word on to listening, spelling, speaking and writing, until it’s one you reach for without thinking.
